Halloween Weekend on Wilton Drive Turns on One Park Address

Wilton Drive closes at 9 a.m. this Saturday, October 31, and reopens at 4 a.m. Sunday, November 1. Six hours after it reopens, a farmers market sets up at 1937 Wilton Dr. That's the same Richardson Park address that serves as a Wicked Manors parking lot the night before. If you live off the Drive, your weekend runs on those two handoffs: the road to the party on Saturday morning, then the party lot to the market on Sunday morning.

Saturday, 9 a.m.: the road closes before the party opens

The street party runs 6 to 11 p.m. The road closes nine hours earlier. The organizers list the closure from NE 20th Street to Five Points. The party itself is described a little differently, running from NE 21st Court to N. Dixie Highway. So the closed stretch is longer than the party. It starts a block south of where the crowd gathers and reaches all the way to the Five Points intersection at Dixie Highway and NE 26th Street.

For anyone running errands Saturday, Wilton Drive is out as a through street from breakfast on. The event's own directions send drivers around it. From the north and west, take Oakland Park Boulevard to Dixie Highway. From the east, take NE 26th Street off Federal Highway. From the south, take Sunrise Boulevard to NE 4th Avenue, which turns into Wilton Drive.

If you want something low-key that morning, the Wilton Manors Public Library holds its recurring all-ages Family Fun with Board Games drop-in on October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's in the Children's Area at 500 NE 26th St. The city calendar lists it as its regular Saturday session, not a Halloween event.

Saturday, 6 p.m.: what it costs to walk in

Wicked Manors has run since 2007. This year's theme is Masquerade of Mayhem. The Pride Center at Equality Park produces it with the City of Wilton Manors, and proceeds support the Pride Center's programs and services. Entry is ticketed, and the tiers differ more than the prices alone show:

Tier Price as of Oct. 1, 2026 Age What's included
General Admission $17.71, including $2.71 in fees 12+ Entry
Premium $46.47, including $4.47 in fees 21+ Entry plus five drink tickets valued at $35
VIP $145.51, including $10.51 in fees 21+ Air-conditioned indoor lounge, light bites, open bar 5 to 11 p.m. that also works at Pride Center street bars

Premium costs $28.76 more than general admission and comes with $35 in drink tickets. That's why the organizers describe the entry as "essentially FREE" for anyone who planned to buy drinks anyway. VIP's open bar starts at 5 p.m., an hour before the street opens to the crowd.

Saturday night: parking is where the weekend's two halves meet

Organizers warn that parking will be "extremely limited," and the city lots are cashless, paid by app or QR code. The Pride Center sells its own spaces for $26.31 per vehicle, which is more than a general admission ticket. Here's where to park or get dropped off:

Purpose Location Address

City lot, ADA parking available City Hall 2020 Wilton Dr.
City lot NE 8th Terrace & NE 26th St. Lot NE 8th Terrace & NE 26th St.

Organizers said ride-share voucher codes would go up on the City of Wilton Manors ride-sharing page during event week, and event week is this week. For anyone living within walking distance of one of the three drop-off points, it's worth checking that page before deciding to drive.

The first lot on the list is the one that matters on Sunday. Richardson Park at 1937 Wilton Dr. fills with Saturday night's cars, and the next morning that same address hosts the market.

Sunday, 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.: the six-hour turnaround

Wilton Drive reopens at 4 a.m. Sunday. At 10 a.m. the Wilton Manors Farmers Market opens at 1937 Wilton Dr. and runs until 4 p.m. East Coast Marketplace hosts the market. It had its grand opening on October 4 and runs every Sunday, rain or shine, with local vendors, artisan and handmade goods, food and drinks, fresh juices and entertainment, all billed as family friendly. The market's schedule includes Sunday, November 1, so it isn't taking Halloween weekend off.

This is only the market's fifth Sunday, and the first that follows the Drive's biggest night of the fall. If you've been meaning to try it, this Sunday is a good test. You'll find out how a new weekly market handles the morning after thousands of people in costume have filled the street.

The weekend arrives less than three weeks after a familiar stop closed

This year's Halloween weekend has one fewer daytime stop. The Alchemist Café closed on Tuesday, October 13, to make way for a long-planned apartment complex, Axios Fort Lauderdale reported on October 16. Axios described the café as a hidden green oasis, known for seven rainbow eucalyptus trees, a rooster named Freddie Mercury and a black-and-white cat named Cow. The other businesses that made up the Yard had already relocated.

Axios laid out the timeline. Kaplan Residential bought the property about three years ago. In 2024, Wilton Manors approved Kaplan's plan for a six-story building with 190 apartments and 8,500 square feet of commercial space. Then in April 2026, Kaplan sold the site to a Waypoint Residential affiliate for $11 million. Owner Lucia Nunez, who opened the café with her sister Maria Elaine in 2014, told Axios she is planning a new location with "the same feel and magic." Her closing message to the outlet was "Stay tuned. We're not going anywhere."

A garden café that had been around since 2014 is gone ahead of a 190-unit building, and a Sunday market that started in October now fills the slot right after the year's biggest street party. For this weekend, that means the closure runs from 9 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday, the party runs 6 to 11 p.m., and the market at 1937 Wilton Dr. opens at 10 a.m. Sunday.
